Explores foundational readings and resources to provide conceptual frameworks for creating a body of thoughtful, impactful photographic works. This critique-intensive course integrates research and effective oral and written communication to investigate contemporary and historical practices within the medium so that students find their own creative direction, articulate their ideas, create effective viewer experiences, and develop a strong foundation of professional practices.
