CORE1028 - Introduction to Advertising Graphic Dsn
This is a team-taught, integrated class between Advertising and Graphic Design and Art History. It will introduce first-year students to the discipline of Advertising and Graphic Design through a combination of studio-based projects and lectures/discussions on the history of the field. Students will create professional quality projects for print and online media, which will integrate the historical concepts and examples studied in class. The course engages lecture, discussion, projects, activities of critical inquiry, observation, analysis, research, and writing to hone design practice, aesthetic vocabulary and communication skills as well as provide a foundation in the history of the discipline.
