ARTH1140 - Introduction to Art History
Covers a range of academic and professional skills needed for pursuing work in art historical study, including art criticism, curatorial practice, and pedagogy. Taught in a seminar format with a range of projects and presentations devised to cultivate foundational skills in art history, emphasis is on the development of written and oral presentation skills, particularly in terms of how these skills reflect on ability to critically engage artwork and the scholarly discourses surrounding it.
